Accounting treatment of Personal expenses for "BOTH PAY" Option.

Note: This question is for "Both pay option" ONLY AND not "Company Pay" option .Company pay option has different accounting treatment.


We have enabled the "BOTH PAY" Option for our expenses. We noticed that for BOTH PAY option when we mark the expense as "Personal" then that particular expense disappears from the "Available Expense Items" section of Expenses (this section stores all cash and credit card transactions)


What happens to this card transaction marked as 'Personal'? Is there a payment request/invoice created for the same ? If invoice created then for whom it is created and for what amount?
