Triggers for a Post Election Edit Formula

Summary:

Understanding Post Election Edit formulas

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

Hello experts,

We were building a post-election formula to verify if the employee has selected at least one option within a plan. If it helps, we are using the ben_fn_get_char_value function to identify and determine the enrolled details.

A couple of questions here -
1) Is it possible to have two post election edit formulas set up for different plans running at the same time? For instance, we'd have one post election edit for Disability, another for Basic Life and so on?
2) The formula does not appear to trigger unless we go in and select / unselect an option. Our assumption was that we'd be able to check if the employee was enrolled on to an option irrespective of us selecting the option. We've tried setting up the formula at program, plan and option but no luck. Is there anything else that we might be missing?

Howdy, Stranger!
