Which date filter to use?

Hi there

I am a little unsure about which date filter to use within one of my reports.

I am setting up a scheduled report which will run at 6.00pm daily. But it should only contain incidents that have been completed today. However the incident should NEVER appear on the report in future.

The reason I am struggling is if I used incidents.closed as the date filter, the incident will be on the report today. But if this incident becomes updated for example, tomorrow, and it is Solved again, it will appear on tomorrow's report even though it was on today's report.
