How to Handle Same Position but different Competencies using Position Model Profile

Requirement : We have a Position but competencies are different for Permanent and Probation Employees within the same position. If the competencies are attached to the 'Position Profile', then it will show all the competencies for both Permanent and Probation Employees which is wrong

Is there a way that we can exclude some competencies when taking the competencies through position profile to performance document for competencies evaluation.
