Goal management not used in performance evaluation process

Summary:

One of our customers is not using goal settings in performance template, basically they are not using goal management within performance evaluation itself.

In this case, for redwood enablement for talent management, no need to use new performance templates in order to synchronize goals with performance document in redwood right.

Performance document is used for only competencies and summary only.

Goals are separately handled. so my understanding is , no need to use new performance documents , we can use in-progress performance documents as it is even after go-live right?
