Performance Check-ins - Is there anyway to schedule a check in time without the auto dl ics file?

Summary:

We use Google calendar in our company -and when scheduling check-ins to specify times it auto a download the ics file and you can't open it with MS.

There is way that is a bit convoluted by imported the file in the calendar.

Is there a way to prevent the auto download yet still capture the times?

Is there a way to integrate this with Google?
