Can we use 'Planned Schedule' without implementing 'Workforce Scheduling'?

Hi All,

I have a question on the work schedules/roster setups that will be used for overtime calculations. We need to setup rosters and sometimes the shift changes on a day-to-day basis.

We are exploring the use of Planned Schedules (My Client Groups → Time Management → Planned Schedule), but we are not sure if this page can be used for planning/publishing work schedules by a schedule manager without using the 'Workforce Scheduling'.
Does the regular work schedule setups allow us to create scheduler profile and use the planned schedule page to modify/publish shifts for certain days for an employee? If yes, will this be visible in employee calendar and can we use this for overtime calculations in time and labor?
