Opportunity edit layout not getting defaulted as per assigned role

Summary:

We have coped the opportunity page layout for another BU and new custom role is created and that layout is VBS, now login with user having that particular role when go and edit the opportunity it's still showing the default layout what could be the reason?

Example AFS layout created and AFS role but when login with user having AFS role is not getting that layout for edit opportunity.
