What Is Data Priority in Eloqua?

What Is Data Priority in Eloqua?

Data priority in Eloqua defines which data source is trusted more when multiple sources try to update the same contact field.

When new data is imported, Eloqua compares it with the existing data in the contact record. If the values are different, Eloqua checks which source has higher priority and decides whether the field should be updated or not.

In short:Higher-priority sources can overwrite lower-priority data, but not the other way around.

How Data Priority Works (Simple Explanation)

Think of data priority as levels of trust.

  • A high-priority source = more trusted
  • A low-priority source
