Should having a dotted & direct reporting line to the same person affect default check-in settings?

Summary:

In the Redwood Performance page, when a user adds a new check-in, the expectation is that the manager field defaults to the user's direct line manager. When a a user has a dotted & direct reporting line to the same person, the manager field defaults upwards to the indirect manager.

We have scenarios where the user's line manager and dotted line manager are the same person e.g. due to the user's secondment to a different position within the same team. In this scenario, when the user creates a check-in, the manager field defaults to the user's indirect manager i.e. the line manager of the user's direct/dotted line manager. This is not the expected behaviour and poses a risk that the user will accidently create a check-in with the wrong person.
