Journey based on Document records expiry date

Summary:

Hi All,

We created a Document Record Type for "Security Clearances" and these clearances have an expiration date (date to).

Can we create a journey that will trigger when a Clearance DOR when it is about to expire based on Date to field (like date expires in 8 months' time). We have checked the events but couldn't find any specific option to set a trigger criteria as per requirement.

Can you please share some insights or other possible workarounds for this case.
