There should not be any impact to outstanding invoices since the journal entries are created(with a future date) when the invoice is accounted the first time. The adjusting entries will just sit out there until all relevant accounting periods are open.

There shouldn't be since cancelling an invoice does a simple reversal of the distributions however to be safe, I would recommend cancelling them before you disable MPA.

This below is my assumption
By “Original receipt date” you mean the lot’s first/earliest receipt into inventory; by “receipt date” you mean the specific on-hand receipt/transaction date that created the on-hand in SUBINV1/LOC1.
If I sort by the receipt date for the sub inventory and locator, which lot — lot 1 or lot 2—will be selected first during picking?
Result: Lot 2 will be selected first (because 03/03/2026 is earlier than 05/05/2026).
Order Management / Shipping responsibility → Setup → Shipping → Picking Rules
The picking rule has criteria for how to select material (subinventory/locator/lot) and what is sort sequence that effectively enforces FIFO.

You can create picking rules that enable you to sort picks based on criteria that you define for sales orders, process manufacturing batches, or work in process jobs. Oracle Inventory reviews the picking criteria order and the options for each criterion.
Generally the available choices for picking restriction are sales order, process manufacturing, and work in process. where this rule is applicable for .You can select sort criteria for the rule and rank the sort criteria to determine the importance level for that criterion. For example a criterion ranked 1 is higher in value than a criterion that is ranked 3.
The chosen criteria in this case are :
Lot [FIFO] ->Rank 1 :Meaning Sorts the lot by first in first out.
Subinventory [RECEIPT DATE ASC] ->Rank 2 :Sorts sub inventory by receipt date in ascending order.
Locator [RECEIPT DATE ASC] ->Rank 3 :Sorts locator by receipt date in ascending order.
FIFO criteria will sort based on ORIG_DATE_RECEIVED asc and Subinventory / Locator Receipt date ASC will sort based on DATE_RECEIVED asc
