Re: Why ORA-00060 on INSERT
If a lock wait occurs in Step 2, executing the following SQL from a different session may allow you to determine which session acquired which enqueue and which is causing the wait.
SELECT sid, type, id1, id2, lmode, request, block, ctime
FROM v$lock
WHERE sid IN (
SELECT l.sid
FROM v$lock l, dba_objects o
WHERE l.id1 = o.object_id
AND l.type = 'TM'
AND o.object_name IN ('EMPLOYEE', 'EMP_AVAILABILITY')
)
ORDER BY 2, 3, 4, 1

Re: SBC 9.2.0 Session Agent State Affect Inbound and Outbound Calls
Hello Danny
that SA is disabled , the SBC does not accept traffic from it and it replies with a local error of 503 , I think it's normal .
That SBC is disabled but not the sip-interface itself , so other addresses , out of that SA , should be accepted .
Cheers

Re: What PeopleSoft Customers Need to Know for IRS 2026 Filings
No article reference the delivery of a End-to-End A2A Transmission.
Does PeopleSoft deliver a complete A2A solution (XML generation + authentication + transmission + response handling)? For Example, Application Engine that calls a Service Operation that generates the XML?
Re: PeopleSoft Travel and Expenses: Turn off Budget Checking for Travel Authorizations
Questions for Oracle Support
- Use of Encumbrances in Travel Authorizations
Travel Authorizations currently create encumbrances, while Expenses create expenditures.
What is the expected system behavior if an organization does not use encumbrances at all? - Configuration Without Encumbrance Ledgers
How should a customer configure Commitment Control if they choose not to use encumbrance or pre‑encumbrance ledgers?
Historically, this has been a valid configuration. Is this still supported? - Oracle’s Position Going Forward
Is it Oracle’s position that encumbrance ledgers will now be required for Travel & Expenses?
If so, will this requirement extend to other modules such as Purchasing and Sourcing? - Year‑End Handling of TA Encumbrances
If a customer does not use encumbrances, will they still be required to perform a roll‑forward process for Travel Authorization encumbrances created near year end?
Or should the system support a configuration where no encumbrances exist, and therefore no rollover is needed? - Forced Encumbrance Behavior
Current system behavior appears to force encumbrances even when a customer’s configuration is set not to use them.
Is this intentional? Oracle forcing encumbrance usage could lead to unnecessary customer customizations. - PUM Considerations (PUM 54 vs. PUM 56)
Community discussions suggest that PUM 56 may remove the configuration causing this issue, but PUM 56 has not been released.
We are upgrading to PUM 54, so we need clarification:- Will Oracle require customers to create new ledgers and implement encumbrances?
- Or will Oracle continue to support the long‑standing configuration (in place since 8.x) that allows operation without encumbrance ledgers?
Request
Please confirm Oracle’s official guidance on whether encumbrance‑free configurations remain valid, and whether customers will be required to implement encumbrance ledgers going forward.
Re: PeopleSoft Travel and Expenses: Turn off Budget Checking for Travel Authorizations
Good morning Pere,
Travel Authorizations occur at the encumbrances level of commitment control. Expenses occur at the expenditure level commitment control. What happens if someone is not using encumbrances. How can someone configure their system in such a way where they don't use encumbrance ledgers?
Thank you
Re: Why run the commitment integrity report (R40910) in final mode?
The only reason that we would ever recommend running this in final mode is if the data has been confirmed to be correct, meaning all receipts/vouchers have been posted and the amounts are correct, but for some reason, the commits are still not balancing and the purge, rebuild and repost process does not resolve the issue. It will force an entry into the appropriate table to correct the integrity issue presented on the R40910 report. The reason we don't recommend using this as a process is because there could be valid integrity issues (ex: batch not posted) and running it in final mode will cause another integrity if ran in final mode and the batch is later posted (double relief of the commitment).
Thanks,
Michael
