Re: Is it acceptable or possible that Oracle the big database company doesn't have any rollback plan for
For Oracle's customers it's neither but for Oracle itself it appears it's both acceptable and possible. I did a brief stint at Oracle and I can tell you they are pretty hard-headed. They could care less about what we post here.
The only way to get their attention is public shame. Post about this epic failure on public forums like Reddit, X, LinkedIn, etc. Anyone know someone at TheRegister, InfoWorld, arstechnica, Reuters, etc? Would love to see one of these publications shed light on our blight.
Re: Please vote to bring back old MOS
@Margi-Oracle I get it. I used to work for Oracle myself so I understand your position. But if you are the "messenger" PLEASE relay our frustration to the higher ups. Our frustration is real. VERY real.
Re: What happened to My Oracle Support?
@User_GY6IU I was going to try & post back but …. I was able to just type a product into that box & it did restrict to it; mind you the search results were still meaningless; of no relevance to the error I was searching for.
I have used Send Feedback; I'd kindly suggest "everyone" does the same; not that I think it will really make any difference: "What feature? EVERYTHING - the new Portal is a complete disaster & insult to your customers. No favorites, no migrated favorites data; absolutely meaningless search results. Checkout what your Community is saying. Roll it back while you come up with something even remotely useful. I am getting better results from MS Copilot than this mess."
I cannot really find any outrage on Reddit or similar so #raise-hands-in-surrender… I'm pretty much relying on experience & independent AI :/
PS I literally do not know how to convey my level or disbelief > no wget & no digest for patches ! Last CPU I downloaded "18" patches some of which 2.5, 3.6+ GB ….. #despair
Conspiracy theory: another nudge to cloud by making the alternatives dismal
Re: What is best(less time consuming) way to automate repetitive monitoring tasks in EBS 12.2.12 ?
Hi Anurag,
Your idea of automating repetitive monitoring and reporting tasks for global hospitality operations is forward-thinking and aligns well with current trends in AI and automation. Here’s a structured response to your queries:
Yes, similar solutions are increasingly common in enterprises seeking efficiency for finance, HR, operations, and support teams. Many organizations automate repetitive monitoring/reporting tasks via Robotic Process Automation (RPA), job schedulers, and workflow management tools that extract, process, and distribute data from legacy and modern systems.

Re: Parameter for any description column
Hi,
If I understood your requirement correctly, you can use the like function to get the results
select *
from po_requisition_lines_all
where item_description like '%&1%'
Where &1 is parameter value (Which is part of description)

Sirisha
Re: Parameter for any description column

Re: What happened to My Oracle Support?
what a way to use up real estate when looking at a doc
Can you go back to the old MOS we all know and understand??
Also, when I look for a doc, I rather focus on JDE and not all other LOBs
Re: My Oracle Support, are you really happy with what you've delivered ?
Hi Jerome:
The personal note was to not make (false) assumptions as to what you were discussing (but my assumption was correct).
I'll be back.
