How to add Drop Ship Item on Sales Order workaround?

We need to be able to dropship any item in our inventory on demand. We do not have items that are specifically for drop-ship and we would like to avoid having to make copies of every item in our inventory so that we can have them available for drop-ship, along with our normal sales inventory.

Is there a workaround to create a PO from a Sales Order with items that aren't marked as "drop ship item" without allocating from inventory? We basically need our items to be allowed for normal sales and drop-shipping.
