Guess I am a bit confused- QA has little to nothing to do with this- this is the tech writers team's baby. Tech writers as in The fabulous Valerie and CO-Since this seriously annoys me, and I havent seen 'loads', was just looking for some insight.

Hi Angela, Shouldn't you be asleep? Tee hee. I have no life, Matt, thought that was common Knowledge.... Our printing controls are that there seem to be too many ways for an Unapproved Purchase Order (ie. Purchase Request) to be printed by anybody in the organization. In View mode, the Print button appears whether it is…

You rock Ange. I'll quit my whinging about the incessant e-mail notifications to Approvers, as I can understand the SOX requirements and believe it to be a good thing. Ideally, I would still like some tighter printing controls, and with custom form printing, I reckon some form of workaround (whilst not perfect) could…

Angela - I don't mean to step on any toes here but I think this thread has once again reared away from the initial thread by JMU (he referenced one of my seperate threads). We have very serious workflow issues with PO's. I am for the agrument that a user should have rights to 'choose' who approves their PO request. The…

Angela, You have made a number of good suggestions of how to work-around the problems with the current NetSuite PO workflow, some of which include customizations. However, IMO NetSuite still needs to address the key issues: [LIST=1] [*]Current PO documentation is confusing. [*]The most critical step/function in PO is not…

Angela, I'm truely sorry to be a pain but I'm not following how your proposal would resolve our centralized issue? How can we configure our account to allow for PO's entered by one user be approved by multiple managers depending on the type of purchase? Your not a pain, sunshine. I was a bit busy when I replied last, and I…

OK Wait- was about to log off, and took a list look at list view of PO's. I think I may have your answer- in List view- customize view, remove the print field, then save the view and make it the default. It may not stop someone hell ent on printing one, but it may slow them down a bit for now. But that is too easy, isn't…

I am very familiar with the PO process, but I think what must be very clear here is the foundation and basic points of PO's- not saying you don't know, just saying that someone may not know. Most of our vendors insist on a printed hard copy with a human signature. A purchase order is a legal binding contract to purchase…

OK, once again, I must stand corrected. The web seminars are disabled. Each one opens, providing a glimmer of hope, then.... blue screen, connection failed. Are these being taken away now? Did I miss an update somewhere? Will omeone please enlighten me to the current status of the free training webinars, that are still…

Hi, Jim - First of all, thank you for taking the time to send us your thoughts. Although I am sure Valerie will respond herself, I wanted to get a quick response out to you as well. I am a member of NetSuite's Technical Publications team, and I can assure you that many, many changes/updates go into the Help documentation…

weird, connecting from Oregon or Atlanta fails. Seems they can connect from California as well. What is your cell again Ray? I hear you know it all.....;)

Good point, Jim. And a good test case for NetSuite's QA group, too. Cecelia Wow, I am seriously reconsidering my perspective on help today. Not to Hijack, Cecelia, but I just tried to quickly reference something on a 2007 import. This is a total nightmare. It is exactly what you have said here, applied to imports.…

Jim - I feel your pain in terms of downloading PDFs and not wanting to go back to re-download / print them again two weeks later. That would certainly be a waste of paper for you and your team. Just for my own knowledge, can you tell me which PDFs you refer to the most? Also, this is more of a usability question, but do…

I have entered a doc enhancement to add a topic to our Help Center on how to access NetSuite University and the webinars. Thanks for the suggestion. Thanks Valerie. you Rock. Any chance anyone can tell me how to fix this on a mac? Same error

hmmm, is 8 minutes long enough to wait? Seems the two of us who cant get in are on comcast, other than that, we are on opposite sides of the country, so not the same workstation (or even close), but seeing the exact same thing... Connection failed, now, at 11 minutes since launch.

Wow, Jim, You are seriously on a roll. I like this one. gets my vote. thanks Jim!

Jim, Yourwonderful. Thanks.

Have you looked at the report "Inventory Turnover"? It can be found at Reports-Inventory-Inventory Turnover. Since it defaults to show average days on hand, it may be a good foundation for you to start with.

Let me clarify. If a user says "Is there a partner that I can hire?" It is valid to communicate "I am a partner that you can hire." If a user says "How do I setup up my marketing campaign?" it is not valid to communicate "I am a partner that you can hire." There is a simple reason. That user may already have a partner.…

Slippery slope - best to avoid if the question did not specifically refer to a partner. thanks, glad to hear it.

I feel that in the discussion that has ensued an important element of my question has been lost. I want to know if it is ok to ask for recomendations from other users for suppliers of services (customisation, support, etc.). I don't want the suppliers themselves to respond (I can Google), I want to find out what other…

Hello Brian, Good points. In my honest opinion, I completely agree with NS stance that marketing has no place within the user group. When an end user is struggling, there is little as disheartening as being provided people who will fix something for you for a price- as opposed to simply answering the questions set forth.…

Thank you Phillip. Much appreciated.

Statement made; "I want to find out what other users have found useful, whether the services are from Netsuite or third parties." Ans: Discussions for 3rd party apps that are not used in conjuction with the application should not be discussed within this forum My apologies, I understood that to mean services provided by…

Thanks for pointing out this problem. On the "Pre-populate Contact Records" page, I entered the correct path in the text box ("Please provide suggestions to improve this help topic."), and then clicked Submit Feedback. We're using Submit Feedback to gather and track comments on a page. This should get the technical…

Let me know if you have any more questions or concerns and I will do my best to provide you with the answers you require. Phillip, Is…

Good Morning Phillip, I too, read that announcement in confusion. As it reads- f-NetSuite specifically prohibits the solicitation of UG members for services provided by other members either through posts, UG private messages, or any type of outside communication such as e-mail or phone. So, to clarify this, is the…

hmmm. you say tomatoe, I say tomato-when concerns are backed up by instances of the supporting facts~ Incompetence- mistakes- mis communications- whatever it should be called according to Netsuite, shifting this into a personal attack upon the user voiceing the concern in my humble opinion, does a great job of glossing…

Oh I see what you're thinking. No, nothing like that, it's just that the first one was an unmitigated disaster ON site, so hiring someone OFF site is an additional risk they don't want to deal with. Cecelia Since I know this story, I have to chime in- Cecelia, I understand your bosses fears, but I really think this whole…
