OK. NS, please reset our site. Tom

Thanks for the tip Raymond. Have you done something similar with twitter? I've been seeing retweet on a lot of sites lately. -T PS: I found this retweet code here, but haven't tried doing anything with it... http://www.solidblogger.com/add-retweet-button-blogger-blog-post/ and…

I tried using several other NS web-stores and found them all to be every bit as slow as ours. If our webpage should load in ten seconds (at any "typical" ecommerce service) and it takes a full minute in NetSuite, then that is a full 50 seconds of "down time" for each page load (in my book). So, multiply 50 seconds of down…

Our web-store is incredibly slow today. -Tom

Is there a way to show a separator between items when using a dense list? -T

Is there a way to use the checkerboard effect when using a dense item list in the web store? I'd like every line to be darker. I tried using a custom template and it didn't seem to work when I had the "dense list" option selected along with a "checkerboard template"? -T

Has anyone tried this for their NS web-store.... http://ignitecommerce.com/netsuite/

Fred, do you have a solution for a back-end image generation? Some carts actually take your preferred size and create an image scaled to that size. They don't constrain with HTML (which reduces image quality) but rather they actual create and store a sized image based on your sizing preferences for both thumbnails and your…

Fred, I didn't mean to shock you. You say "You have to take into consideration that Netsuite is a lot more than just an ecommerce engine" ...yes, but ALL I'm talking about is the "ecommerce engine" that is included with NS. As others have said, the rest of NS is a separate topic and "the rest of NS" seems to do the job.…

"sitekreator" looks too featureless in the e-commerc area. Looks more like an OK blog creator. We'd be looking for a long feature list for e-commerce users ...like faceted search, item reviews etc. (see list of features at https://usergroup.netsuite.com/users/showthread.php?t=20994&page=7)

I read a negative online review of 3dcart. http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/3d-cart-c181115.html I'm now doing a demo of http://www.bigcommerce.com/ Is there also an existing NS integration for bigcommerce? One thing for sure... there is no shortage of eCommercecart solutions. T

Bill, 3D cart looks promising. I talked with them today for about an hour. They make their interface appear fairly simple for small stores to get up & running quickly, but then if you look deeper there is really a lot going on and lots of flexibility. Two other cool things. 1. you can upload other applications as they will…

If I had a good in house programmer or felt more comfortable scripting then there probably would no reason for me to look at Magento, but I don't have those skills so it does seem like linking to an outside store may be a lower cost way for us to get the features we need. Dito Too many things in the NetSuite web-store are…

Bill, who offers the 3DCart integration? I saw a lot of slick features using a demo store. I like the big features, but even the little ones are great. Like when you add an option to an item you can pick different display modes for the option... like dropdown, checkbox, radio ...and more. Also, after you upload any item's…

John, commercev3 looks promising. Without disclosing cost, I see that they're very cheap compared to Magento. Let me know how it goes. Some of their ecommerce features that caught my eye were... * Basic and advanced product search tools * Dynamic search results ordering * User defined sorting on category items * Dynamic…

Yes, I could enter keywords for every item. I may even be able to automate that process. I just want it to work "out of the box". I've got the words in the title and yet the user's search can't see the words because of the quotes. It is bad enough that users can't sort their search results by price or other criteria, but…

This search defect seems to be browser specific to Firefox. I noticed something else that is truly bizarre. It will find the item (even in firefox) if you search from certain categories, but not from others. Here is an example of what I mean. These three URLS result from searching for the word "Magazines" from three…

Today the search works from any location within our webstore. The NetSuite support person said that the problem we had with our webstore search was "just" caused by a NetSuite "caching problem". That makes me feel a lot better. T

A shot of Tequila might be a good first step. Then on to the "user guide" or the "set-up wizard". T PS: Watch out for the undocumented pitfalls.

I just checked our data for that variable and it fluctuates widely from a high of 500 hits per order on one day to 120 hits per order on the next day. If I throw out the two highest and two lowest ratios (over a 30 day period) and average the other 26 days, I get about 180 hits per order. Do you know what a healthy average…

There is already another thread on that marketing pieces. see... https://usergroup.netsuite.com/users/showthread.php?t=22862

I want those Magento features, but I'm not ready to go through the changes. I can't handle any disruptions at this time. NetSuite needs to know that for them to be touting "sitemaps" as a main new ecommerce feature in the spring of 2010 is a bit like bragging that you have a new device called a cellular phone in the spring…

we do not want to host our own store software and have to manage updates, hardware, etc. Second, even if we pay a hosting company to host Magento, we would still have to employ a caching company such as Akamai to ensure our pages loaded quickly around the country. Host it on Bluehost or somewhere like that. Their prices…

For us, Magento fell short on the Faceted Search. They call theirs Layered Navigation, which still seems to be based on the old Category, Sub-Category, Sub-Category idea. It seems Megento just makes it easier to mass produce and manage lots and lots of sub-categories, which is better but definately not Faceted Search.…

Forget about Venda.com. It is $14,000 per month. I don't care how much you're making off of ecommerce. If you can find an "apples to apples" match but cheaper elsewhere, then you go the cheaper route unless you just don't like money. Especially when the price differences are so vast. T

Using a service like farapp, you can push sales order directly into Netsuite and pass other data back an forth. Though it won't be in real time. What about online forms. Do those "connect to" or "push into" NetSuite in real time? We have a "contact support" form online that creates a support case in NetSuite. Also, does it…

Don, So, do you use a magento store with a NetSuite back-office? Can you tell us if the integration works good. What do you like and dislike about magento? Thanks, Tom

Rick, I feel your pain as we have many of the same sentiments. I'll keep my improvement requests general because I'd write a book if I was specific about each one of them ...plus they can read the feature lists at the "best of class" providers and see what I'm after. I'll share my top 3 general requests... 1: Stay ahead…

I'd be interested in the results of a poll of NS ecommerce users and the question would be "IF magento was installed on NetSuite's servers and you had the option of switching your webstore with one click, would you switch (assuming that the conversion tool was known to be free of bugs)". I think that the work involved in…
