FYI- Your question will remain 'open' unless you choose an answer that worked for you. Where it says 'Did this answer your question?' on the thread - please choose yes or no?

Yes, it's here in the community. I clear my cache every afternoon, and when it was happening. Clearing my cache didn't help. It happened so many times this morning I gave up. It doesn't seem to be happening any more. Just - Odd.

What are you trying to achieve? I'm not clear on your goal.

There are a LOT of 3rd party apps for NetSuite. If you are shopping around, I highly suggest that you ask the companies if they have a NetSuite connector provided. If they don't, you'll have to purchase a middleware to integrate the app to NetSuite. I hope this helps.

The emailing from NetSuite is a fantastic feature. However, if people don't update their personal preferences to include their email, they will never see responses. Glad I could assist!

to file accounts digitally using ixbrl? I had to look that up via google. If I understand correctly you cannot use this programming language within NetSuite - NetSuite has it's own requirements of SuiteScript. I might be way wrong on this, so I'm interested in other peoples thoughts.

I have seen many companies use 'Virtual' locations. Some work well, some do not. The first thing you'll need to do is to run a physical inventory count report for each location, and use that data to build an Inventory Adjustment from the virtual location to the one you want to keep. This is high level, but a critical step.…

Is the contact you are trying to source assigned a role of 'Primary'? If memory serves, to source the contact onto an email template, the contact must be assigned the role of 'Primary Contact' - as this associates it to the entity more than just having it on a sublist. Unless something changed, I suspect you have to assign…

You can absolutely create a UOM that is unique. What you cannot do is edit a UOM that has been used on any item and change the base UOM. Since the UOM has been applied and is in use - you CANNOT and should not change the base unit. NetSuite won't allow it. You'll have to create a new, unique UOM, and then apply it to…

When emails are sent from NetSuite, any replies to the emails go to the sender within NetSuite, AND the sender who actually sent the emails inbox. For example- If I'm a buyer, and I have set up my personal preferences to email from NetSuite using my email address, any responses to the emails will be captured in NetSUite…

A standalone Asset doesn't impact the GL. Usually, stand alone assets are only for Mid Life assets (or a proposed asset that is accidently discarded). Any assets not created from a vendor bill are created from a JE. THe value of the asset will show on your financials ONLY if there is a corresponding JE or Bill that…

Do you know if this stopped working when you were upgraded or as an update to prepare you for an upgrade? Find this information at Setup>Company> Administrator Messages. Look at the confirmations and see if the dates tie into your issue. If they do - it's an upgrade issue. I hope this helps!

Are you certain that the 2 instances of Maxio are independent of each other? It may be a silly question, but if they are not independent, the field may be mapped to the first instance and not available for the other? Just spitballing here. The records Schema can be found here:…

Note that you have 2 clear issues. Personally, I attack one at a time. Once we get you through the assets not depreciaiting, we can review the mid life assets that are depreciating for the full life.
-
Yeah - we're still being told it is as designed, which is crazy. We're letting them run through - but it's giving my boss the idea of creating a custom Approval solution.
-
Setting the last depreciation period to zero is usually accomplished by creating the Acquisition records. If you go to Fixed Assets_Setup_ do you see a button to 'reset asset values'? If you do, you'll need to click on that. To clean up your mid life assets, you'll need to delete the depreciation, and then update the…

In order to help you find open transactions, we need to know what role the inactive employee was using. If it was a sales rep role - that's easy and is supported by Mass Updates.
-
the system recorded depreciation for previous years on many of the fixed assets and none on other assets. This sentence is what made me think that you hadn't created the Acquisition and set the assets to begin depreciation for the remaining value of the mid life assets. If you have a mid life asset- that as of September…

OK, For the 8 that didn't depreciate- Is the depreciation start date set? Is 'Depreciation active' set to true? Is the Last depreciation period set to zero (for the acquisition)

It sounds like you didn't load your mid life assets correctly. For any mid life assets, you will need to load the current Net Book Value, accumulated depreciation, etc. Look up Loading mid life assets in Suiteanswers. You should find the information there.

The easiest way to set up a new role is to run a comparison against a similar role so that you can see the permissions. Setup>Users/Roles>Show role differences. This will provide a comprehensive list of permissions you can possibly assign. I hope this helps!

Since When you log into MyLearn, do you see the notice?

External ID's must be unique for each type of record. If you have an external ID for an account, that would not be the same as an external ID for an item.
-
If you remove the vendor name, there may still be a balance in the account. Since you can assign a vendor name to ANY JE, if the account is AP- you will have an open balance for 'No Vendor' in AP. To avoid this, you can create a new JE that is the reverse of the entry you are trying to clear.
-
The mandatory MFA alert on the top of this community is relating to this community only, at least that's how this reads. Since we already sign in using SSO for Oracle, I don't know if this means we have to use the authenticator app. This should NOT impact NetSuite logins.
-
If the JE is in a closed period, and you cannot edit it, create a new JE reversing the Original. You can 'apply' the new JE to the old one, and that will also clear the balance. If you simply clear the name, Judith is correct - the AP credit will appear on your aging as 'no vendor' and that credit amount.
-
Many apps or add ons have a 'Built for NetSuite' connector. This is a big selling point - which is why people are pointing you to the vendor to ask about a connector. Building a custom integration is a lot of work. Good luck and let us know?

I am able to include Next Approvers in searches all the time. For example - I add 'My Purchase Orders to Approve' reminders to dashboards where Next Approver = Mine. The next approver field is available for searches when approval routing is turned on for the record types. Find your approval routing types of records at…
