There's no need to apologies, @"CDuf" I am thinking of adding a "does not contain An auto generated note" in the Criteria, however, if you have an open case that has an empty user notes it will appear on the search. ut if there's none, I think this one will do. Thank you for trying the suggest steps, @"CDuf". I was able to replicate the issue on both Case and User Note Saved Search and adding When Ordered By Field column to User Notes : Date gave me the accurate value in user notes field.
