I just created a new lead with the email [EMAIL="test@elm-wood.net"]test@elm-wood.net[/EMAIL]. I even tried xxxxxx@elm-xxxxx.net and it saved. Do you have any scripts running on the record?

A fix to Defect 333174 Custom Form > Projects > "You cannot submit this Form due to an Unexpected error" will be released shortly. This fix should address the unexpected error on all entity records.

While the fix is pending release, another Alternate Solution may help: Create a Saved Search and display the fields to edit on the Results tab, then Use Inline Edit to change the value of the field.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps: 1) Log out of NetSuite 2) Clear browser’s cache 3) Log back in to NetSuite If the problem persists, contact Support and reference Defect 333503 - Edit a Customer record > Hit Save > Popup message: "You cannot submit this form due to an unexpected error".

You could try wrapping the formula in REGEXP_REPLACE({customfield},'<[^<>]*>','') or use a macro in Excel to strip the HTML tags.
