The sneak peek that is out there is incomplete. A new one is going to be posted shortly. That statement gave me a glimmer of hope that the enhancements that are long over due and important to our bottom line were just around the corner, but after testing the beta for all the features that mean anything to our business…

The non-Beta version came out today. Anyone using it? -Tomen Safari 4 public beta released today (windows / Mac) Comentario por Tom Dalton Jun 10, 2009 5:40PM

We added 4 of the top 8 most requested features 4 of the 8 most requested webstore features? The problem is that not all NS users that engage in ecommerce have used other platforms or are aware of how not being in Google images looses them sales every day that they aren't in there. IF I had a 20 minute conversation with…

trend graphs on the iPhone ...I'd vote for fixing the trend graphs first. I know this is a bit off topic from what Malin was saying, but I'll say it anyway. The NetSuite instructions say... Show Average. Check this box to display a dotted line in the trend graph, representing the rolling average of KPI data values. Average…

If the NetSuite "file cabinet" would offer the ability to upload any popular (and free) software to install & host it on the NS servers, then we could add one or two of the missing functions ourselves. For instance, it took zero money and about 1/2 hour to install the free forum software called "simple machines" into a…

The ecommerce edition's "SuiteBundle" includes "Customer product reviews" which is listed in the top 20 requests. It is crazy that it cost extra (IMHO) if you are a "site builder" subscriber then wouldn't you need this for your site? Plus, it is available for free on many of other ecommerce systems that cost pennies a…

Wow. I hope thats not it. There wasn't anything in there that we have been waiting for and we have about 167 open cases of which about 90% of them are enhancement requests and they go back to 2004. -Tom

- Microsoft Outlook We don't use it. We use macs. - BlackBerry integration We don't use a BlackBerry or an iPhone. We work in our office; not "on the go". - subsidiary-level budgeting I don't even know what that means. All we want is to be on top of the heap with our ecommerce features as that is what butters our bread.…

This navigation is also a broken feature in another area of NetSuite. The "show duplicates" results page is missing the "pulldown range selector". Sometimes it shows 2 or 3 hundred duplicates, but you can only see the first 40 or 50. You can reverse the sort order, but there is no way to see all of the matches because…

This feature is also causing problems for us. After converting an item, it has an expense account that is grayed out. It has the drop-down menu for COG, but the account listed in the grayed out expense account is missing from the COG pull-down menu. -Tom
-
Ditto ....but there was one feature we wanted ....the ability to convert non-inventory items into inventory items. We also filed many cases and lost about 20 or 30 hours of productivity and we are still dealing with broken features. I'm sure we will be compensated! Right? T

Snoggers, Yes, you will get more defects in the new release. I have learned that being "too patient" is a prerequisite to being a long term NetSuite customer. Most of the issues that we filed after v2008.2 are set to S3 (120 days to fix). We use mac and we now have to jump back and forth between browsers. We have one…

Google Chrome is now available for mac users (in beta form). Are any mac users encountering any issues using it with NetSuite? -T

What I am wondering is if QA has the ability to test these kind of features- do they have access to a gateway for CC processing? are they able to really test the system completely in regards to integrated shipping, credit card processing, Online bill pay, bank statement uploads, etc? I've also wondered if they aren't too…

Evan, With all due respect, I'm not inclined to Beta test for NetSuite. We haven't done radical changes to our account. Any changes to any forms were minor (like exposing a field here and there). We haven't written any SuiteScripts. So, because our account is basically "stock" ...our system should just continue to work…

We have the same problem today. I wish I could specify a preference in NS that would set us as the last group to take part in these "upgrades". Tom
-
Thanks for that Evan, but I often wonder if there is another "first group". Is there a first group that goes before your first paying customers? If so, how do they always seem to miss so many obvious issues? By obvious issue, I mean any issue that stops a basic business event from being possible. We found 3 issues in the…

Yes, if it was a rock solid product and I didn't do much customization. An example would be "quickbooks". Would I install a new version of quickbooks without "testing it"? Yes. My job isn't to test their software. My job is to use it and part of using it is keeping the latest version installed. It all comes down to the…

We can't fulfill non-inventory sales orders. We click the fulfill button and it brings up a fulfillment record without any of the items from the SO. So, what is the workaround?? -Tom

1. No Shipping estimator in our shopping cart Case #700620 - Defect 140905 2. Error when saving any edited matrix child item (replicated by NS rep on their test account) Case #714549 3. Problems pasting text into rich text editor (on mac). Text occasionally disappears when saving or clicking off of the place where it was…

I want to use the automated email feature more, but I need some more marketing projects. Can someone with marketing experience please post a list of about a dozen useful automated email marketing messages? EG: 1. Welcome to acme widgets: one day after registering as a lead 2. We want your business back: one year after no…

No idea, but it is good to know that we aren't the only ones still affected by this bug. Let NetSuite know that your account is also still broken. T
-
So, I guess that means that our store is the only one effected. -Tom
-
Our shipping estimator is still broken. It isn't showing up at all. Does anyone else have a shipping estimator in their cart? We also just had a customer call and say that UPS ground wasn't available when he checked out. Only "UPS 2nd day" and "UPS next day" where available. I wasnt' able to reproduce the error from my…
-
NS, do you know when the second fix for defect 140905 will be issued? -Tom
-
Our Shipping estimator is still missing from our site (a week after the "fix" was released). NetSuite, is Friday's service upgrade going to fix this issue? T
-
I got the email saying that a fix had been released, but we still don't have a "shipping estimator" in our cart. The preference is set to show the "estimator" in the web-store. -Tom
-
Amit, Thanks for responding. I'm not sure what you want to know. We use NetSuite's UPS integration to fulfill orders. During the process of fulfilling an order, we create "packages" in the fulfillment record. Now that I think about it, this would only be usefull for single item fulfillments. I was thinking about a button…
-
WOW. That was easy. Could you see if they could make a similar "sample bundle" that would add an "update weight" check-box to the fulfillment>packages window? Then our packer could easily update an incorrect item weight based on the current package that they are shipping? -Thanks, Tom

Ah, I see. I was looking for webstore features. I'm waiting for auto-Google sitemaps and a number of webstore improvements. I was also looking for some fixes for the 134 open cases that I have. Oh well. T
