  • Tom I don't have that problem, do you have it on all your machines? I use a Mac and my college uses a PC so we see Netsuite in two ways. Yes, we have Safari on all machines and they have the same issue when changing from a non-integrated to an integrated shipping method. It is Safari running on a mac and it is the newest…
  • There are nice features in Safari (like the one that Paul points out), but we don't use it because it has a few problems with NeSuite that stop us in our tracks. One such problem is the inability to switch shipping methods. I don't know if this bug happens on a PC running Safari, but on a mac NetSuite gives a pop-up…
  • We use MacOS 10.5.5 (newest available mac OS) We use FireFox 3.0.3 (newest available Firefox) All of our macs are Intel macs. Herman, We jump back and forth between Safari and Firefox, but we are currently using Firefox. Usually after a major NS upgrade, we will encounter an issue that forces us to switch browser. With NS…
  • If anyone else is having this issue, I did find a work-around. Make a custom template to simulate each of the non-template layouts that you were using. It is irritating and an unnecessary waste of time, but it may be faster than waiting on the fix. T
  • Nice tip. Looks like they made a mac-specific version of ies4linux.. http://www.kronenberg.org/ies4osx/
  • We have already converted many hundreds of non-inventory items to inventory. NetSuite gave us the new feature to convert these items. We want to use that new feature to convert items so that we can keep their history. We are converting them because we are starting to put many of them into our inventory. I don't want to…
  • Defect #154278 The only problem with this defect is that it is S3 (Average of 120 days). We have inventory to track for these converted non-inventory items and we have orders to fulfill. We can't set location on fulfillments or Sales orders or track inventory for these items until this issue is resolved. They did determine…
  • Our front and back office are both down. We had just received two huge orders that were contingent on the fact that we verbally told the customer's that we could ship them today. Now we can't access the data to ship the orders. They were to be drop-shipped and without NS running, they would be practically impossible to…
  • At Setup > Accounting > Accounting Preferences, the default costing method set to "Average". Tom
  • An error occurs because (just like in your existing inventory items), to avoid costing problems, you are not able to save the same account in more than one field in the item record. Did you read and test the second half of my post? I can set both the expense account and the COG account to the same account. I do have to use…
  • I called NS and I tried communicating this to NS support. They added me to Defect 152060. Defect 152060 is not what I was trying to describe. I don't have the energy to call them again. If support reads this, please file a new defect based on what I have posted above. T
  • I did confirm the actual shipping charges with the UPS worldship program. Our NetSuite back-office is calculating sipping cost correctly. Our NetSuite WEBSTORE is giving our customers approximately a 35% discount. So, the order that made us notice this BUG will cost us $10 more to ship than what our webstore customer paid.…
  • Do you use multiple locations? If so, see my thread on multiple locations with non-inventory items. T
  • Why does it make the converted items use "Costing Method=LIFO"? We prefer "Costing Method =Average". The converted items have "Costing Method=LIFO" and it is grayed out so that it can't be changed. T
  • Is this not the same as your scenario? Read the first post. There are two issues in that post and neither one is like Defect #152060.
  • Has anyone else experienced this... ISSUE #1: When we convert Non-Inventory items to Inventory (using the new conversion feature in 2008.2) we get left with an item that has BOTH an expense account and a COG account. Our items that were always inventory items do NOT have BOTH a generic expense account and a COG expense…
  • I found the source of this bug. If you experiment with the LOCATION setting on NON-INVENTORY items ....you will find some strange behavior in netSuite. I'm NOT talking about the location setting on the inventory tab because NON-inventory items don't have an inventory tab. They do have the inventory setting on the top of…
  • setup -> Web site -> setup web site -> email tab -> Checkout Errors
  • We get errors like this every other page... Safari can’t open the page “https://system.netsuite.com/pages/customerlogin.jsp”. The error was: “Operation could not be completed. (kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 302.)” (kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork:302) Please choose Report Bugs to Apple from the Safari menu, note the error number,…
  • I appreciate your efforts helping us follow up on your issue, but it looks like it's a matter of misunderstanding rather than any fundamental inaccuracy in the instructions. I disagree. Nobody seemed to understand the use of the "." on the end of the domain. Moreover, the GoDaddy specific instructions were written for the…
  • I think we have the solution. GoDaddy was helpfull. The "." typo in the instructions was part of the problem, but easy enough to figure out. The NS support lady was determined that the problem was with GoDaddy IF we followed the NS instructions which she said "were absolutely correct". The origional message that prompted…
  • I'm not sure if this relates to our email problems, but this is the prompt that we received yesterday.... ...we did as the instructions instructed.
  • Disregard the previous post. Receiving the items didn't help. I also tried to use the "mark shipped" button on the drop-ship PO. It also brings up a Fulfillment without any items on it. T
  • OK, if any other GoDaddy users get hit by this... here is what worked for us. NS instructions say: Make this CNAME entry: "www" points to "@" Make this CNAME entry: "yourdomain.com." points to "shopping.netsuite.com" What you need to do is: Don't make either of the CNAME entries that they instruct you to make. Make this…
  • I'm told that we can fulfill some orders for non-inventory items and others we still can't. So, I'm not sure what is causing the problem on the unfulfillable orders. -Tom
  • Thanks. I'll make those changes in our GoDaddy setting. It is a refreshing to not hear "you understood the instructions wrong" or "we can't make instructions for every situation" or "we were nice enough to make instructions for another companies services, we didn't have to do it, so you should just be grateful that we…
  • The change in a-host that fixed our email also took our webstore off-line. NS just called. It seems that ALL of the instructions that we have received from Netsuite were wrong. The guy said that the "NS Help" instructions didn't take into consideration that any user of GoDaddy may have both their domain there and ALSO use…
  • I am trying to confirm something. The guy at GoDaddy was confused by this part of the NS GoDaddy instructions... They say to put a "." on the end of our domain name. I'll assume that that is a typo even though they show it that way TWICE.
  • I think we are discovering one of the problems. Prior to Friday's release, our system would auto-receive the POs for drop shipped orders of non-inventory items. Today it needs us to manually receive each drop-ship PO before we can fulfill the PO. We need our prior workflow back? Is there a setting to get things to behave…
  • The NS support person That I talked with said that the "." was a typo and he was consulting with another support person at the time. Who do I believe? The bigger issue effecting the email was the a-record. It should not be deleted or changed to NetSuite's IP if the host provides CNAME. If the host provides CNAME, it should…
