@Helen O'Donnell - NHS Business Services Authority Hi Helen, I see that you have submitted a number of Idea Lab posts related to potential accessibility issues. Accessibility issues are best worked through the Support process where they can be triaged and bugs created as needed. Please feel free to reach out to me directly…

We do not have a target date at this time.

@Naresh Gopavaram I would suggest testing through RDG. Use the SQL Server connection type and select Remote Data Connectivity option.
-
As Gianni mentions, OAC does not support custom ODBC. You can try JDBC: https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/paas/analytics-cloud/acsds/connect-remote-data-using-generic-jdbc.html

General timeline guidance that is subject to change is early CY25.
-
Yes, this is supported in the current release. You can create a custom app role by following documentation here: https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/paas/analytics-cloud/acabi/configure-what-users-can-see-and-do.html#GUID-7547E519-07B5-414A-B664-771BA753B2FB Assign users that you want for the scheduled delivery. Then you can…

We will make this more clear in the documentation.

+ @Sandeep S. Chauhan-Oracle The bursting feature is only supported for users selected from OAC identity management system. Row level security is defined at the user level. Even though a distribution list may contain email addresses that are the same as users in the IDM, there is no explicit mapping. The best way to send…

@GK48 Yes, additional permissions are in the July update.
-
@GK48 Ben is referring to the permissions feature which I guess you may be using to control exports. https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/paas/analytics-cloud/acabi/permissions.html Adding @Adam Bloom-Oracle who is collecting requirements for new permissions.
-
@ashish.f.singh-Oracle Did the customer try with RDG?
-
Certification is planned. However, you should be able to configure using the SQL Server connection type.
-
@Jean-Pierre Hoedenaeken I'd suggest opening a Service Request if the permission feature is not working as expected. Some additional resources for fine-grained permissions feature: https://blogs.oracle.com/analytics/post/managing-permissions-in-oracle-analytics-cloud

Installation of OAS 2024 on SUSE 15 will require fixes that are planned for an upcoming bundle patch.
-
There is a fine grain permission for Workbook scheduling. This allows creating custom app roles to allow other users outside BI Admin to schedule. More details on fine-grain permissions below. Doc: https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/paas/analytics-cloud/acabi/permissions.html#ACABI-GUID-8D54EC11-C500-4D22-9CC2-F33E8D763CE1…

Following are screen shots from OAS 2024. In Workbook authoring there is a search box that is available above the subject area / dataset picker. The user can enter text and the search will return matching columns from the subject area or dataset. A visualization can be created based on selecting from the returned search…
-
Can you clarify the request? In the latest OAS release, when authoring a Workbook, you can search for subject area columns.
-
@BibinKumar Can you expand on use cases of date/time-based conditions? Some examples are helpful.
-
No specific plans at this time. We will review the requirement.

Even though the doc link discusses the use case of 2FA, it provides a way to generate a password for O365 SMTP. This can be used when configuring the SMTP in OAS.
