@Kevin Riedy After the Branch is applied. You can publish your Custom Branch instead of Main and test the changes. Once you are ready you can merge that custom branch to main and then publish the Main branch next time with the tag on the last step of Main branch.

But I have seen this issue being reported to DEV and they have confirmed this is a known issue on top of 25R1 P3 and is confirmed to be resolved on next upgrade. But there is no workaround as of now on current version where it is reported,
