  • Could you add some screenshots to show exactly what's been chosen in each of the scheduler tabs when a user tries to schedule for the original layout? Thanks
  • Apologies, I've lurked enough to know to give more information... we were on a fresh install of 12.2.1.2.0 on Windows x64
  • I had the same issue recently, did the same tests as you and couldn't work it out either. We used patch 24452329 (search it on MOS), which resolved it (it says it relates to 11.1.1.9 but there's a 12.2.1.2 download version)
  • Have you remembered to include your "Year" column in the 'Graph Prompts' area in your 2nd graph?
  • Hi, So, all of those columns are supposed to be prompting 'Level 3'? Are they mutually exclusive, so people can only select level 3 OR level 4 OR level5? If so, I've got a bit of a simplistic solution for you, worth a try: Put a filter in the report on your column as 'level 3 is equal to @{level7}' (whatever your variable…
  • Hi, Are you trying to say that when there's a specific subset of a column ('A') then you want to filter a second column based on a certain subset as well? try something like this case when "table1"."column1"='A' then filter("table2"."column2" using ("table2"."column2" like %~ABC')) else "table2"."column2" end ?
  • Hi, to get rid of the nulls, try putting the 'choice list' or 'radio button' list SQL as select your_column from yourmodel where 1=1 and your_column is not null Try setting a default figure for your presentation variable like where your_column = @{VAR_COIL}{98725}
  • Hi, Could you provide some more information please, this is quite vague. Could you paste the actual physical query your BI server is running (obfuscate any table names or subject areas as you want)? What does your model look like and what are the joins doing? Happy to help, but need more information
  • Hi, I believe that what I said still stands. If you're putting "Month is prompted" as a filter then do a max on the full date in a column it will give you the last day of the selected month. This won't affect the data that you're bringing back, it's just a column for display. You should have your 'Previous Month' column…
  • Hi, One thing I would say is that as part of your date dimension you should think about adding a 'Month Start Date' and 'Month End Date' to your records. That way OBIEE won't have to work it on the fly whenever you need something like this. However, if you want it to work now: In your analysis where you're wanting to…
  • Agree with @rmoff, direct database request would work but then you wouldn't get your hierarchical data and OBIEE is a glorified SQL Dev. I would question: NO time to follow traditional data model approach. Who's in charge of the timescale? If the user is saying "I need this in a week", you need to tell them it takes time…
  • Hi, Are you navigating to a report that is coming from the same subject area/prompting the same column? If so, you should be able to set a navigate action link on the column you want and point it at the dashboard/report you want. (SELECT NAVIGATE TO BI CONTENT) Add a filter on the second report to saying 'is prompted' on…
  • Hi, Just a quick question: How do you actually work out the cross capacity? Is there a set formula for the cross listed classes i.e. is it always (Class A/2) + Class B OR Class A + (Class B/2) OR is it an inexact science whereby it could be Class A 10 Class B 10 total 17?
  • Where I've done developments in Chrome in the past, if you want to edit a table/narrative/etc but the report isn't bringing any data back, it brings this error. Either set your report so that it brings back default values in the filters area or change your browser and fix the issue.
  • I'd agree with @Thomas Dodds, you should have a column in the RPD that does your CASE statement then have another column where you do the ago and reference the name of that column so instead of ago(case when x then 1 end) You'd have ago("Fact"."Case",1) A lot cleaner and means that the aggregation of the column is done…
  • Create a second copy of the column and substring this second column to a smaller size but so that it still has some business meaning and use that in the legend instead
  • Hi, In your report, set a filter on the Month column of 'less than or equal to' the presentation variable you're passing
  • Hi, I'm currently using a PostgreSQL based connection/database. This could be a red herring but, does your server autocommit when SQL is running? Perhaps in your connection pool 'Connection Scripts' tab add an enabled line under the 'execute on connect' of commit; Worth a try!
  • Hi, I can see that this is a bit of a strange requirement.. Have a look at the XML and see if you can find a piece of code to edit the graph axis? Otherwise, as a workaround: You could change the column formulas of your horizontal columns to be: concat("Date"."Year",',') And the same for the rest of them (apart from the…
  • Hi I've attempted to recreate your spec and it works for me in separate sections (using 11.1.1.7) Perhaps try setting a default value that you know the first prompt will prompt as default like: SELECT "Customer"."Industry" FROM "Order" WHERE "Customer"."Customer" = '@{PV_name}{Sarah}' or even having it blank, if the other…
