Retirement Savings Plan Not Persisting for Active E Records After Life Event Processing
We are working to ensure that any individual with an active “E” record remains eligible to participate in one of our retirement savings plans.
This population primarily consists of return-to-work retirees who typically have both an “N” record and an “E” record. Initially, our eligibility criteria only considered primary assignments, which unintentionally excluded retirees whose “N” record was set as primary.
I have since updated the criteria to evaluate all assignments, which now correctly applies the retirement savings plan during an ad hoc life event.
However, we’ve encountered an issue in a specific scenario: when an individual has both an “E” and an “N” record and experiences a reduction in hours on the “E” record, processing the retirement life event results in the retirement savings plan coverage being end-dated. I can manually reapply it through an ad hoc life event, but this is not ideal.
