Assemblies Vs Groups
Hi,
In the course of doing business, we purchase component parts (for example rims and tyres etc) which are prepared as sub-assemblies (eg wheels, nut and bolt sets etc). These sub-assemblies are then used in various assemblies (eg axles, drive trains etc). The assemblies are then fitted into finished product (eg cars, trucks, trailers etc). The assemblies and sub-assemblies are also sold separately as items.
We purchase these component parts from various suppliers globally and in different currencies. We then sell them globally in various currencies and at varying discount rates per customer or customer type.
We have considered creating assemblies or item groups in order to manage the various items and assemblies, paricularly for estimating. However:
