Farquaad's palace in Duloc runs on NS - they used a custom SuiteScript to add discounts at the line item level. Not cheap, but highly effective.

It's for recording time worked by your employees, as part of payroll and rebilling to customers if appropriate. From NS help: Supervisors or designated approvers can review and approve time entered by employees. Approved time provides the data used to process payroll and bill customers for billable time. Each time record…

This might be a dumb question, but, are the franchisee's subcustomers to the Franchisor?
-
I have the account numbers if you still need. pm me.

OR, specify the form to be used as part of the import. If the form has the field on it, the field values will import.

There are non-posting account registers for a number of transaction types, including quotes, opportunities, PO's, etc. Perhaps if you are not using one of these types, you can re-purpose it? It would be nice to be able to create a new type of transaction, along with a non-posting register for it... I'm pretty sure that…

This is a great idea for a new feature / 3rd party bundle....

SAS 70 Type II is the gold standard for audits of SaaS providers, and NetSuite undergoes this. http://sas70.com/sas70_user.html "SAS No. 70 is the authoritative guidance that allows service organizations to disclose their control activities and processes to their customers and their customers' auditors in a uniform…

Assemblies add a bunch of overhead (have to build, unbuild, etc.) so it's better to avoid them if you don't really need. I think Olivier's suggestion of using UOM is probably going to be a lot easier.

Are you using the native drop-ship functionality? For 1: NS will create the PO's for you based on the SO For 2: There's native functionality for auto-emailing PO's to vendor For 3: continues to work as designed for non-drop-ship SO's For 4: Do these with custom saved searches

Perhaps you can use the same part number but with a "dash" e.g. XXXXX-1 XXXXX-2 If you need full-on version / revision control for inventory items, consider NetSuite Light Manufacturing (Rootstock). Note this will be overkill if you only have a few items like this to manage.

Have beat my head against this as well :) I can share details on how to get a relatively complete output - pm me if interested.

To the best of my knowledge that is not possible. Whatever the column widths are on the html template is how they will appear on the PDF. NS also provides the ability to specify a font, pitch, etc. for the entire column area, but not for an individual column, on the PDF layout. I'm sure this has come up as an enhancement…

Removing the Vendor entry from the List permission in each role is a good starting point. You'll also have to restrict viewing of AP transactions; else people can view the transaction and then click through to the vendor record. Use the Compare Roles screen to see other nuances, by comparing for example Sales Rep to AP…

Hopefully you are aware that to do this you need to have a NetSuite Payment Gateway set up, as well as a merchant services account with a bank... Without those two pieces, no credit card processing will happen in NetSuite. NS acts as the virtual terminal, the gateway moves the data back and forth between NS and the issuing…

When you email the customer, the previous letter will be stored in your file cabinet and linked to the customer record (as part of the email link on the communication tab, messages subtab). Then you can use the contents of the custom "letter" field as a starting point for drafting the next letter. Or, am I missing…

For R2011.2, new functionality was added to define senders for emails generated by saved search. Perhaps that's your culprit. from Help:Defining the Sender for Saved Search Email The sender of emails for a saved search is determined as follows: 1. If a custom email address has been provided in the From field on the saved…

If you wish to restrict access to records based on the hierarchy, you can do that via roles / Employee Restrictions. On both the Sales Manager and the Sales Rep roles set Employee Restrictions to "own and subordinates."

see the help topic NetSuite Basics : Working with Your Calendar and Activities : Working with Phone Calls : Using Telephony Integration Supports TAPI and CTI. Also this regarding Five9.

The flow of Leads -> Prospects -> Customers works really well for companies with established business processes for lead grooming, sales forecasting, etc. If you are bringing in lots of unqualified Leads it is very helpful to have them seperated out from true Prospects. p.s. I'm not seeing any errors with Lead promotion,…

Achieved this a few years ago with the functionality in our external website code. We passed NS customer data via web services to a database on the web server, and our web dev company wrote code to find nearest dealer by zipcode or state. http://www.accusplit.com/CorpDealerLocator.aspx

For example, the below would work on a regular webpage, but apparently not within a NetSuite application page. Looking for something that might have similar impact. Div_Header.style.cssText = "display:none;";

It may also be the way the search is set up. If a search design does not conform to the requirements below, it will not show up on the pick list for KPI's. From NS Help - SuiteAnalytics (Dashboards, Searches, & Reports) : Dashboards : Key Performance Indicators Overview : Defining Custom KPIs : Selecting an Existing Search…

I agree with ekornmeyer, WSDK with NetSuite Shopping Cart and Customer Center is a good way to bridge between an already-finished website and NS ecommerce. This can be done with relatively little effort, obviates integrations with 3rd party shopping carts, gives customers what they need, and smooths out your transaction…

Thanks, Guillaume! Hadn't realized that REGEXP_INSTR evaluates as a boolean. Also, shame on me for forgetting to use hyphen to specify the range.
-
I have yet to find a way to do that.

Consider using Campaign Subscription Status settings. Create subscription settings on the customer records to show which clients shouldn't receive certain types of campaigns. Subscription list is here in your NS tenant.
-
No, unfortunately, you cannot use a formula as part of a report criteria. Best bet is going to be to use a saved search. Searches have better capabilities for email notifications of exceptions, if that's any consolation.
