Use of Unrestricted life event and Evaluate Unrestricted Event Participation process

Summary:

What is best practice for use of unrestricted life event and how often should the evaluation unrestricted event process be run?

Content (required):

We use unrestricted life events for two plans not in programme and I'm trying to find out what is the best practice to manage these. Currently the 'evaluate unrestricted event participation' process is run manually on a weekly basis and this has the effect of opening an unrestricted life event for every employee every week.

Is this required and how unrestricted plans need to be managed?

I understand from oracle that it is this process that will end employee enrolments in our unrestricted plans as it is not possible to add a termination life event to an unrestricted plan. Does this mean we should in fact be scheduling it to run on a nightly basis?

Howdy, Stranger!
