Event triggered Absence Sickness Journey for Line Manager Question

edited Feb 8, 2024 1:20PM in Journeys 2 comments

Summary:

Hi there,

I am new to Journeys and I would like to calibrate my understanding ref triggering criteria for a Manager Journey.

We have been tasked to configure a a journey that will be automatically allocated to the Employee's Line Manager after the employee submitted an Absence or Sickness type.

Is it possible to configure a triggering Event (added on Actions & Events tab of the Checklist template) on the Checklist template as 'Absence Entries', even if the Employee will not be added as an Actor or Performer on this Journey?

In the requirements I have received for this Journey is stated that only HR AoR and LM should be setup as Actors at Tasks level and record certain details in DoR whilst the employee is on sick leave. Will this Event described above trigger this Journey for the Line Manager if the Employee is not included in the Journey? Or do we need to add at least 1 task for the Employee?

Howdy, Stranger!
