Re: Reduce Clustering Factor
You say "...we have to reduce the clustering factor..." Why? I do not think that your users are calling the help desk to complain that "The clustering factor is too high". You need to be sure that you are addressing the real problem, not an issue with implementing your chosen solution.
However, that having been said, you can fix the problem with Attribute Clustering. For example:
orclz> create table t1 as select * from all_objects order by object_id*dbms_random.random;
Table created.
orclz> create index i1 on t1(object_id);
Index created.
orclz> select clustering_factor from user_indexes where index_name='I1';
CLUSTERING_FACTOR
73176
orclz>
orclz> alter table t1 add clustering by linear order (object_id);
Table altered.
orclz> alter table t1 move online update indexes;
Table altered.
orclz> select clustering_factor from user_indexes where index_name='I1';
CLUSTERING_FACTOR
1428

Re: Install JAVA 17 in Solaris SPARC
https://blogs.oracle.com/solaris/java-17-now-available-for-oracle-solaris-on-sparc is the announcement from the Solaris team.
(CPU58) Apr 2026 for Oracle Database does not show up in the MOS Knowledge search
Oracle Team please fix this.
New MOS > Knowledge > "Oracle Database Enterprise Edition" > type "CPU 2026" and it lists only the "CPU4 Jan 2026 for Oracle Database".
We expand the search list and still cannot find the "CPU58 Apr 2026 for Oracle Database".
New MOS > Knowledge > "Oracle Database Enterprise Edition" > type "CPU58" then the "CPU58 Apr 2026 for Oracle Database" shows up.
New MOS Knowledge Search still does not list the CPU Apr 2026. Oracle needs to fix the search. Customers are tired of these flaws and glitches in the new MOS. Customers pay a lot of money for the Oracle support and Oracle must deliver a much better support site. The old MOS Metalink was 100% better than this new MOS support site. I am disappointed and frustrated with Oracle with all the trouble, glitches, flaws, broken features with the new MOS that never ends. This is a clear lack of planning and lack of consideration for the customer by Oracle. The patch release dates are published far in advance, customers plan the application of these patches in advance, then last minute the patch is delayed by Oracle. This is the 31st iteration of a patch, how can it have issues in the release at this point? Why are customers receiving such poor support for the product they pay a lot of money for? Oracle needs to listen to the customer complaints across the community.oracle.com and Oracle management needs to make things right and improve this customer support site dramatically, the way things are it is completely useless for customers, this new MOS support site just adds a lot of extra time to the work that I have to do to patch and maintain my database servers.
ANNOUNCE: OS8.8.92 is Available on MOS!
This is to announce the release of ZFSSA AK Software OS8.8.92 (aka 2013.1 Update 8.92)
OS8.8.92 has been delivered to the external support repository and MOS
It is available on the external MOS portal, ARU # 28662885
Re: Support website is a complete disgrace, completely unusable
I completely agree. Unable to download patches. Knowledge base Doc ID links completely broken. New website is an absolute disgrace!
Oracle used to have good products and documentation, but NO LONGER!!!
But HEY, they have AI 😡
Re: How do I update the approver in the Oracle Cycle Count approval workflow when my responsibility does
In EBS Inventory, Cycle Count “approval” is not always maintained on a dedicated “Cycle Count Approvals” form.
The rules defined for the transaction will be based on Approver Groups, Jobs defined in HR setup, or Positions defined in HR setup (only in R12); the rules may also use a combination of Job, Position, and Approver Group basis.
Approval Management Business Analyst responsibility> Business Analyst Dashboard > select the transaction type ‘INV Cycle Count AME Approval > click on Setup icon>Approval Group
You can make the changes here.
Thanks

Re: How do I update the approver in the Oracle Cycle Count approval workflow when my responsibility does
Hi
If your environment uses AME (Approvals Management Engine)
You can check in Responsibility: Approvals Management Business Analyst
Click on Rules against Transaction Type "INV Cycle Count AME Approval".
Update the Rule Action Type that determines the approver,
Please refer to Vision Demo - How to Setup and Use AME for Inventory Approval Hierarchy Process for Cycle Count ?KB711630 for more information.
Hope it helps.
Thanks

Re: Can you tie a BSV value to multiple Ledgers
System will validate the BSV based on Ledger and within the ledger legal entities.
BSV may be assigned to Ledger or one of the LEs in the Ledger
If the Legal entities are related to two different ledgers then user may assign same BSV to different Legal entities that belong to other Ledgers.
Cheers!
Re: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded
Hello,
This looks like an issue occurring on a Java based server, not a CNC issue.
Could be an interactive application, but not a report or data selection. Reports are not executed on Java servers.
Could be also an Orchestration. However, java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overload limit exceeded cannot be linked with a specific application. It is a sum of many conditions such as concurrent users, active database pooled connections, size of grid data being exported/imported, databrowser data fetch etc.
Thank you!
Best regards,
Cezar
