Thanks for your help.
Re: Transferring data from one LE to another LE in the same ledger
First confirm with your finance team whether you can take the balances in the source currencies as starting values, or if you can open Dec 2025 and post the balances there to keep YTD 2026 clean. That's the simplest approach and it does reflect the state of ENT25 at the end of its use.
If you need to take all the journals and since ENT087 is new, you could go back and open ENT087 for the first period where ENT25 was used. Enter the journals for that month and close, including revaluations and such, confirm that the results are the same as in ENT25. Before closing, do a quick check that nothing else managed to get into the period while you were processing; the risk is low but not zero so it's best to check. Repeat for the other months that ENT25 was active. If all the rates remain the same, it should come out the same. ENT087 will then be an exact copy of ENT25 as of the end of December.
As always, test in a test instance first. Confirm all the figures. If anything comes out different, then you will need to discuss whether adjusting journals can effectively get it to the correct amounts. If they can, then repeat in production, including any adjusting journals, during off hours to minimize the chance of anything else landing in the prior periods.
If there are differences and adjusting journals aren't feasible, then post here again so we can help further.
Re: RMAN duplicate a PDB in a database of WE8MSWIN1252 character set to a CDB of AL32UTF8
Hi,
For My Understanding, Yes, this operation is supported. According to My Oracle Support Document ID 2231602.1(KB135341) ("Character Sets For CDB And PDB in 12.2"), starting from Oracle Database 12c Release 2 (12.2), PDBs can have a different database character set from their CDB. Specifically, if the CDB's character set is AL32UTF8, you can plug in a PDB with virtually any Oracle-supported character set (except EBCDIC-based ones).
Since AL32UTF8 is a strict superset of WE8MSWIN1252, RMAN duplicate of a WE8MSWIN1252 PDB into an AL32UTF8 CDB is a supported configuration on Oracle 19c. The PDB retains its own character set metadata after the duplicate, and Oracle handles the character set boundary transparently.
To ensure there is no silent data corruption, we recommend running the Database Migration Assistant for Unicode (DMU) on the duplicated PDB as a post-operation validation step.

Re: After implementing Fluid ePro Requisitions, does your central office still use Add/Update Reqs?
We have not moved to the Fluid Req yet but have removed access to the 'core req' pages for all but the admin group. I suspect that when we do move to Fluid, we would no longer allow access to the 'ePro' requisition.
I do not know for sure when it comes to the Fluid Req, but we ran into quite a few issues allowing users access to both core and epro. For example, requisition change requests can only be created via ePro, if they go to the core req page, it doesn't have the same logic and doesn't create a requisition change request.
I suspect there are probably other issues like this moving from ePro to Fluid too.

Hi,
I have moved this question into the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne > Integration Technologies category.
If an answer resolves your question, please choose the "YES" on that comment for "Did this answer the question?".
