Re: Using Orchestrator Studio (groovy or JRuby) to read a CSV file or determine what the delimiter is
Hi John,
Interesting use case and requirements. I'll bet you are not alone.
As of Release 23, Orchestrator provides the "Map Inputs from a CSV File" feature, which is a special case of the Custom step that allows you to easily map CSV file input into arrays without writing a custom script to do it. Is that how your current solution works? If so, you'll notice that that step allows you to specify a delimiter; however, it does not enable you to set the delimiter as a variable. (Sounds like a valid enhancement request!)
Therefore, you would have to "clone" that custom step for each delimiter you might use, and put those steps behind a Rule to direct to the appropriate one based on the delimiter.
You could establish the delimiter as an orchestration input, which is then passed into the Rule for evaluation. Or, you could get fancy (as you suggest) and create a script to sniff the contents of the CSV file to automatically determine its delimiter, and then pass that into the Rule for evaluation. I tried asking ChatGPT to generate such a JRuby script, and it seemed to give me a valid result (I didn't actually try to run it).
As for a script to read a CSV file and produce an array, yes, prior to Release 23 and the enhancement above, we used scripts to read CSVs and map to arrays. There is even an Oracle-by-Example tutorial with a sample script. Check out Using Files As Orchestration Input and Output (Exercise #3, step 29).
Hope that helps. Keep us posted on your progress.

Re: how to move the unified audit sysaux > custom tbs
The link Michael sent you can also be done for 19c.
Re: how to move the unified audit sysaux > custom tbs
additionally check Stefans slides about unified auditing
best,

Re: how to move the unified audit sysaux > custom tbs
That is correct.
The tablespace named does not need to be the same.
Re: Missing panel for updated KB articles, bugs, alerts, new issues
Hi @Peter_L_ ,
I know there is a News section which can be selected from the top menu which has some of these details in.
There's also a bar at the top on the main page which has bits of news and alerts:
Not sure if any use to you but thought id mention.
Kind Regards,
Rob
Re: Why does plan_sequence increment differently in Admissions vs Student Records
I copied this from the original KM:
ACAD_PLAN.PLAN_SEQUENCE.Field Default
/* Default sequence number to the next available sequence number. */
&MAXSEQNO = 0;
For &I = 1 To ActiveRowCount()
If &I <> CurrentRowNumber() Then
&SEQNO = FetchValue(Record.ACAD_PROG, CurrentRowNumber(1), ACAD_PLAN.PLAN_SEQUENCE, &I);
If &SEQNO > &MAXSEQNO Then
&MAXSEQNO = &SEQNO;
End-If;
End-If;
End-For;
&SEQNO = &MAXSEQNO + 1;
If &SEQNO > 99 Then
&SEQNO = 99;
End-If;
ACAD_PLAN.PLAN_SEQUENCE = &SEQNO;
Make sure you test thoroughly. The document was from 2013.
Re: Voucher Approval after Matching
Hello Lisa,
My requirement was for PO invoice matching process to happen before it is submitted for approval. This setup looks specific to budget check processing.

Re: Voucher Approval after Matching
Hi Sajal,
If you create an idea, post it here, I know our organization would vote for this. While I understand it's working as designed, it feels like there may be a flaw in the design or maybe we just do not understand what the thinking was when this was decided by Oracle. Perhaps there should be a configuration option to allow matching before approvals are triggered.
thanks!
Wendy
