If this were me doing a fresh install, I would install GI 26 and then RDBMS 19c. That way, I could avoid a future upgrade of GI when I'm ready to upgrade the database to 26ai.

Just a quick follow-up on this issue of mine.

I was able to apply the Holistic patch during the software only phase with the following notes:

The document should be extended to include the holistic patch process.
When applying the holistic patch, do not specify -bitonly as that is not valid for a holistic patch but you do need to specify the -spb_patch option because it is a Holistic patch.
The instructions for the RU say that you need to use the latest version of OMSPatcher. In fact you also need an updated version of OPatch. OPatch is called under the covers by OMSPatcher. When you apply RU-06 and perhaps other RU's, there is a patch in the RU bundle which requires a newer OPatch than the OPatch which is delivered by the base product.

Can column character count be configured in Spreadsheet Journal worksheet (JRNL1_WS.xlsm)?

We are on PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 Image 54, PeopleTools 8.61. We just started using the worksheet JRNL1_WS.xlsm recently.

When attempting to generate a file in worksheet JRNL1_WS.xlsm, our users are encountering the error message below if a journal line description column character count exceeds 30 characters. Is it possible to increase the character count allowance for a specific field on the worksheet so that they can successfully generate a file? The behavior in the old spreadsheet journal worksheet allowed the a journal file to be created, but would cutoff the excess characters without an error message.

Re: Voucher Approval after Matching

Our organization doesn't use budget checking and I believe we had to modify something to make sure that Matching happened before Approvals. I feel like it may be delivered that approvals happen before matching which is backwards to us.
