Re: PYLOAD data load
Hi,
We have an idea on the Ideas space for this:
PYLOAD - expand to load greater than 99 lines — oracle-mosc
It is super annoying because there are delivered processes (Absence Management, Expenses) that regularly have more than 100 lines and yet there is no fix for this.
ALSO - it shows rows as being LOADED (for Absence) even though they have not been loaded!
PeopleSoft Billing - Billing Interface
I am new to the billing interface and looking to do some testing on if this would be appropriate to use for some business processes.
I have the newest template (PUM51) - I wondered if there is any documentation on how to use it. What fields to populate to get a basic bill into the system just to get started and start to understand how best to approach it.
Thanks
Re: Can i have the old My Oracle Support pages Back?
Whoever designed the new website was obviously not a user of the old website.
This is a cruel joke Oracle has pulled on us.
Global Absence Entry Validation Fast Formula
Hi All,
Requirement- Changes are required for one absence type Sickness. If the same type of absence entry is added as of 8th consecutive calendar day (including weekend) or working day and can be recognized as continuation of Sickness leave. Following error message should appear: "The system recognized this absence entry might be a continuation of previous sickness."
We need to verify if there is Sickness absence entry in past 7 days along with Public Holidays, Weekend Offs (which can be different for different employees).
There will be multiple scenarios:
E.g. 1: Employee is trying to schedule absence for 5 days Monday to Friday. Previous Saturday, Sunday was weekly off. Friday was Public Holiday. And Thursday employee has taken Sickness leave. We need to allow only 3 days of absence.
E.g. 2: Employee has taken absence on Friday, Thursday was Public Holiday and Wednesday was Sickness leave employee has taken. Now we need to allow 2 days.
Please advice if this requirement is feasible with Fast formulas.
Regards,
Vanshika
Re: Request Header Or Cookie Too Large - ??
- Patches & Updates
- What: Discoverability and link reliability for patches (e.g., occasional readme 400s). Conflict Checker remains available; we’re clarifying navigation and guidance. We’re also working to provide wget.sh and patch metadata/digest checksums, and to fix EM Patch Metadata files, in an upcoming release.
- Workarounds: From the homepage search menu, select or search for “Patches and Product Certification Matrix.” If a download, readme, or other patch link fails, clear browser cache/cookies or try an incognito/private window. If the issue persists, open an SR and include the patch ID and a brief failure description for link repair.
- I tried the "clear browser cache/cookies" which did not work but the "incognito/private window" did.

Oracle DB 12.2 - When will overlay Patch 25415713 released for the Jan PSU12.2.0.1.190115
Question: Oracle DB 12.2
We have had applied PSU 12.2.0.1.180717 and detected last year a heavy trace file growth - every 3 seconds an unneeded message was written into the trace.
Patch 25415713 did fix the bug - but this one is PSU depended. At the moment the latest Patch 25415713 is only available for the Oct 2018 PSU.
We plan to go very soon to the Jan 2019 PSU: seems Patch 25415713 appear not to be included in the Jan 2019 PSU.
Any experience how many days after PSU release the new overlay will be released?
taling about: Patch 25415713: MMON TRACE FILE GROWS WHEN NO TRACES ARE ENABLED …
Do we need to open an extra request?
Is there a reason that the fix is not included per default?

Re: Installe Oracle 19c database on a 26ai GI
The typical question would be : what functionality of 26ai do you need ? (where that would be missing from 19c) In most cases, no answer can be provided so then you would look into : what is the current situation of the 'new' version, in this case that is the 26ai. The newer that is, the more I would propose to go for the old one as you're choosing between a new, buggy, experimental, freshly released, versus a very stable and known old version. For me, that is a no-brainer really. It's not just the version, it's also documentation that makes the difference. For 19c, that now is no more on point than it will ever be. For 26ai, well, especially if you start using special things like Grid. Also keep this in mind: 19c was intended for premise, 26ai is intended for Cloud.
If you consider the above, for me it's clear: install 19c Grid and enjoy the stability, ride out the time and in a few years, look for upgrade, either to 26ai on prem or 26ai on Cloud. That will be as much as a challenge as it needs to be.
