Is There a Limit on deleteList Method

We have over 13,000 customer records to delete. It there any limit, or optimium number of, records that can/should be deleted with one call to the deleteList method?

Also, is there anyway to determine the record ID that was (Or was not) successfully deleted? The delResponses object seems to contain only a line of text for each record submitted indicating success/failure, but no ID.
