Modify Approved Bookings

Is there a way to allow a PM to modify an approved booking? The scenario is the PM creates a booking. The booking goes through a booking approval process where a Resource Manager approves the booking. As the project progresses the PM will at time need to change the dates for the approved booking. Once the change has been made I would like to have it go back through the approval process. I am open to any solutions including ones that require scripting.
