NetSuite Admin Tip: How to Add a Number Line Column in a Saved Search
There are some cases that a user would want to add a number line column in a saved search result without exporting it on a spreadsheet. This is easier for the user to identify the transaction in sequence, especially if the Internal ID is listed multiple times.
Here's the formula you can use in your Saved Search.
- Navigate to your existing Saved Search
- Click Edit beside the Search Name
- Click Results tab
- In Sort By field = Select Internal ID
- Add Formula (Numeric) field
- Formula = RANK() OVER(ORDER BY {internalid} ASC)
Here's the expected result.
Do you have another way of adding a number line in the saved search? Any tips and tricks are welcome in this discussion!
