NSC | Show on Custom Field the Merchandise Hierarchy Node

edited Oct 28, 2022 10:37PM in SuiteCloud / Customization

When using the Hierarchy Node on the Saved Search, it only pulls up the last level. In order to show all levels, a Custom Item Field must be created.

Note: To use Merchandise Hierarchy in NetSuite, there are required features that needs to be enabled. See article 77293 Configuring Merchandise Hierarchy.

1. Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Item Fields > New

2. Label: Enter Name

3. Type: Select Free-Form Text

4. Store Value: Remove Checkmark

5. Click Applies To tab

○ Inventory Item: Enter Checkmark

6. Click Validation & Defaulting tab

○ Formula: Enter Checkmark

○ Default Value: Enter {cseg1}

7. Click Save

Note: Repeat the following steps for {cseg2}, {cseg3}, and {cseg4}. There should be a total of four new custom Item Fields.

Howdy, Stranger!
