NetSuite Admin Tips: Granting Admin Privileges While Protecting Sensitive Data

edited May 20, 2024 5:25PM in NetSuite Admin Corner

Challenge: What do you do when you have users that need admin-level privileges, yet as the Administrator, you need to be compliant and not allow them to view sensitive information? This is common when working with auditors and other financial users.

Tip: An easy way to accomodate this is to use "Core Administrative Permissions" by checking the "Core Administrative Permissions" box on the role record that you wat to enable for administrative privilages. Once saved, provide the role to appropriate users.

Most times, this is a temporarily level of granted permission. For example, you may have developers within your organization working on your NetSuite account that require admin level access to complete that project buy should not have access to view information.

Join our poll and share your ideas! We want to know what you think. Don't forget to comment and make your voice heard!
