SuitePeople U.S. Payroll New York Withholding Tax Filing Status Changes

This notice is intended for customers who are using SuitePeople U.S. Payroll and you withhold New York, New York City, or Yonkers tax. To align with New York State form IT-2104, NetSuite is introducing new values for the Filing Status field. The current values are expiring.

What is Changing?

Starting July 21, 2023, the following new Filing Status field values for New York withholding tax will be available:

  • Single or Head of Household
  • Married
  • Married, but withhold at higher Single rate

The new values will replace the current Filing Status values which will remain only until July 20, 2023:

  • Single
  • Head of Household
