Calculation Updates for Operating Lease in Fixed Assets Management version 2023.2

edited Jul 17, 2023 9:31PM in Announcements

This notice applies to customers who are using the NetSuite Fixed Assets Management SuiteApp. The changes described in this notice are targeted for the Fixed Assets Management SuiteApp with the NetSuite 2023.2 release.

What is changing?

Write-Down Adjustment Calculation for an Operating Lease

In previous versions, the first deactivated interest is added to the lease liability balance on modification and the new net present value (NPV) is deducted from the sum to arrive at the write-down adjustment. In version 2023.2, the first deactivated interest will be removed from the formula to reflect the same calculation for finance lease. The write-down adjustment will be calculated as the difference between the lease liability balance at the effective date of modification and the new net present value (NPV) using the modified terms of the lease.

Regards,

@Robert Nedelkow-Oracle | NetSuite Support Community Administrator
