New to NetSuite | Commerce DNS Configuration
To ensure that the commerce site is accessible via the domain purchased from any 3rd party DNS provider, we’ll need to ensure to setup the correct values for the CNAME record to point your domain name to the domain (DNS settings). This article will use GoDaddy as an example on how to setup the CNAME record for the commerce domain.
Here are the steps on how to setup the CNAME record for GoDaddy:
1.Login to GoDaddy (www.godaddy.com)
2.Obtain the CNAME (Alias) for your existing domain record. This is what the CNAME of your domain looks like:
3.Configure the DNS settings as per the instructions provided by your domain provider. Each domain provider has an online help system that gives detailed instructions for adding and editing CNAME records. Instructions vary depending on the domain provider.
