Performing a data load ensures that the data and metadata in NetSuite match with NSPB. You may execute a data load rule to extract NetSuite data from a single data source (Saved Search/Workbook/Dataset) or execute a batch that consists of different data load rules from various data sources that are loaded sequentially. Execution can be done by scheduling the jobs to run at a specified time and frequency and can also be manually executed if you want to sync your data on demand.
To execute a data load rule:
1. Navigate to Integration > Data Management
2. Under Workflow tab, click Data Load Rule
3. Verify the parameters defined on the lower panel of the screen if correct. To change this:
3.1 Click the blue link for the Location field (Example: BalSht_Trans). This will open a pop-up for Point of View (POV) selector
3.2 Change the Location, Period and Category fields by typing in the applicable values for these fields. (Example: enter IncStmt_Trans for the Location and Dec-23 for the Period)
3.3 You may also click on the magnifying glass icon to search for other locations that can be selected. First, click Reset to clear the default location then click Search
3.4 On the next screen, select a Location then click OK
4. Close the POV selector by clicking OK or Cancel
5. On the upper panel, make sure that you select the correct Data load rule for the defined location on the lower panel as you may have more than one (1) data load rule for the same location
6. Click Execute
7. On the next screen, set the following:
- Import from Source – mark the checkbox to import data from NetSuite to Data Management
- Export to Target – mark the checkbox to export data from Data Management to NSPB application
- Start Period and End Period – set the period range of data to be loaded
Note: Metadata are loaded without regard to periods. In this case, you may set these parameters to any period
8. Click Run
9. Go to Process Details to check the status
To execute a batch job:
1. Under Workflow tab in Data Management, go to Batch Execution
2. Find the batch job you want to execute
3. Click Execute
4. Go to Process Details to check the status
