NSC | Why is my Custom Record not available in my Quick Search portlet?

In NetSuite, you might be wondering why is your Custom Record not showing up in your Quick Search portlets. In this article, we'll show you on how to enable this.

Scenario:

You have a Custom Record called Actors. In the Quick Search portlet, the Actors record is not available in the Search For field:

Solution:

On the Custom Record Type page, make sure the field below is enabled:

  • Allow Quick Search: Checked

Results:

Once done, the Actors custom record should now be visible in the Quick Search portlet as seen below:
