My Stuff
Hello Community! Josh Maxwell, a User Experience Researcher for NetSuite Foundation has fun a question for you. Imagine for a moment that NetSuite had an assistant like Alexa or Siri. What would you ask of your NetSuite assistant? Use this survey link to share your top questions to the assistant.
Here are some examples to get your creative juices flowing.
"Did I pay vendor John Doe last month?"
"Take me to my largest sales order for this month."
"What invoices haven't been paid yet?"

Thank you for the confirmation @Francesca Nicole Mendoza-Oracle If anyone else knows of a way to load the templates from a custom transaction form, please post your ideas or thoughts here. Much appreciated.
-
Hello @Ivy Lopez-Oracle On the second filter, if they want to get items with zero movement, shouldn't the value be greater than zero because if transactiontype is null then 1? Or change the formula to: Case when {transaction.type} is null then 0 else 1 end I am a bit confused…

Does this also count for workflows? I am trying to set the status of the inventory count using a custom approval workflow but am not having any luck. I am trying the fields "Approval Status" and "Approved". @Richard James Uri-Oracle

Hi @Tris Mendoza-Oracle , Yes, thank you so much for your input. I actually didn't have to make it mandatory but just exposing the fields on the line items made them automatically sync. I appreciate your help.
-
@Michelle Jabanes-Oracle It is my opinion that this is a design flaw. There are plenty of scenarios where we may not want to email the customer when a new case is created. Why can't this simply be controlled by the "Send to Customer" checkbox? Or if we "Internal only" why would it still send an email to customer on…
-
@Angela Bayliss Thanks for your input. Yes, we can use a combination of internal Id or address labels. We created a custom field for 'external_id' on the address record to achieve synching with external ID's. It would sure be nice if NetSuite documentation would be correct. 😂

For anyone interested, I got RestSharp to work in C# like this. Simple example: var oAuth1 = OAuth1Authenticator.ForAccessToken(ConsumerKey, ConsumerSecret, AccessToken, TokenSecret, RestSharp.Authenticators.OAuth.OAuthSignatureMethod.HmacSha256); oAuth1.Realm = AccountId; (i.e. 123456_SB1) RestClientOptions options = new…

@Venice Jane Lejos-Oracle No, the script never fires on edit/update address on webstore. It fires when updating the address on the lead record in UI. I don't see how deployment on sales order record has anything to do with it when it is a user event on the lead record.
-
@Venice Jane Lejos-Oracle We made 3 deployments just to be safe. On customer, lead and prospect.
-
@Venice Jane Lejos-Oracle They are not custom fields. I am just updating the address to test fire the script. You can see in this screenshot that the lead record was updated from 1234 Main St to 1 Main St via the web store But the script only has the UI view context mode of when I view the record. There is no other log for…
-
@Venice Jane Lejos-Oracle Yes, it is the first time. It has never worked before via web store. Ultimately, we want to update a sales rep and other fields on the record when it is edited in the web store but for testing purposes, we are just logging some info. When we edit the address in the web store for example, it does…

Thanks @Mauricio Solís . Replicating the sales territory rules in a workflow would negate having native sales territory functionality. While I understand your approach, it makes little sense to me. Why replicate something when it is supposed to do the work natively? I didn't imagine this issue being so frustrating and…

@Mauricio Solís To circle back on your answer, is it possible to use a set field value action in a workflow that sets the correct sales territory based on an address update? How can a workflow initiate the sales territory assignment? cc: @Theo Cruz-Oracle Any thoughts on this?
-
Thanks @Mauricio Solís , I was afraid of that. Based on current website flow, it's remarkable NetSuite doesn't provide a more dynamic solution for it. Even if custom scripted, we can't really invoke the sales territory rules and apply them so we would have to custom script all the logic, correct?
-
Is there truly no better method than a mass update that has to be manually executed? I understand it can be schedule once a day or so but the territory needs to be changed quicker than that. https://suiteanswers.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/71354/loc/en_US Other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
-
Can anyone propose a solution to this? It appears to be a continuous problem.
-
@Brian Stisser For example, exporting the chart of accounts, with its field properties, parent and child, etc as well as values. The records catalog is also somewhat helpful but it's not exportable. Also looked into suiteanalytics which can get us all the data but no record properties. Instead of writing restlets, custom…

@Jack Daryl Espiel-Oracle Thank you for your response. Step 2 and 3 were already completed previously and are in place. For step 1, the folder NetSuiteSCIS does not exist in the Users/[username]/AppData/Local folder. The only NetSuiteSCIS folder that can be found is in…
