In OneWorld accounts, if the inventory feature is enabled, multiple location inventory will be enabled as well. Just to clarify, we cannot change the base currency of the subsidiary once it is saved even if there are no recorded transactions yet. You can vote for this enhancement: Issue 129402 - Allow the change of a subsidiary's currency as long as no transactions have been posted to the subsidiary.

Jamie the best person that you can ask about this is your account manager. I believe that there's a section or note in the sneak peeks that tells about this.
