My Stuff
Hello Community! Josh Maxwell, a User Experience Researcher for NetSuite Foundation has fun a question for you. Imagine for a moment that NetSuite had an assistant like Alexa or Siri. What would you ask of your NetSuite assistant? Use this survey link to share your top questions to the assistant.
Here are some examples to get your creative juices flowing.
"Did I pay vendor John Doe last month?"
"Take me to my largest sales order for this month."
"What invoices haven't been paid yet?"

Answered my own question! Transactions > Manufacturing > Component Where Used Inquiry. Thanks!
-
@Nicole Mendoza-Oracle - YES! Thank you so much! I did an extensive search in Oracle Help and on the internet and could find NOTHING, but you have solved it! Bless you! 😀
-
@Jervin Nicholas Teopengco-Oracle - I didn't create a custom record. I deployed a script (Customization >> Scripting >> Scripts >> New), then used "Save & Deploy". On the Links tab, I chose "Classic Center" for Center, and "Lists" as the Section, and "Custom" as the Category.
-
@Grace Catabian-Oracle - Seems like that's par for the course today! Well, I really appreciate all the effort you have put into my various questions! BTW, you have very cute dogs! 😀
-
@Grace Catabian-Oracle - We don't have one by that name: I sent the code for the PREFERRED layout Here is the Elements subtab:
-
False
-
False
-
A. Transactions > Purchases > Create Inbound Shipment
-
C - Lock record
-
A & B
-
@Grace Catabian-Oracle - Thank you for working with me on this! I will look into the Enhancement to which you referred

@Grace Catabian-Oracle
-
@Grace Catabian-Oracle - After reducing the size of the Columns area using the anchor, only the top table shows now
-
@Nicole Mendoza-Oracle - The Customer Notes field (custbody17) was defined as Long Text, so if I try to copy it into any other type of field, NetSuite tells me I can't do that. I also can't redefine it without wiping out all the data stored in that field
-
@Tris Mendoza-Oracle - We don't have an in-house developer, and our "Account Manager" has been surprisingly unresponsive to my requests for assistance! Thank you for your feedback
-
@Nicole Mendoza-Oracle - No, I still cannot enter a SUMMARY TYPE of Maximum in the Results subtab: Still greyed out
-
@Nicole Mendoza-Oracle - I found the Created From Fields…: It was farther down on the list!
-
@Nicole Mendoza-Oracle - Under Results subtab, the Summary Type is still greyed out: Under the Available Filters tab, there is no option to choose Created From Fields…: I don't know why I can't find the same things you have on your screen!
-
@Nicole Mendoza-Oracle - I will try that. Here's the screenshot you requested:
-
@Nicole Mendoza-Oracle - That is correct. However, that field doesn't show up in my choices: Another difference is that in your illustration above, in the Available Filters, you have Created From: Internal ID. There is nothing that allows me to choose Internal ID:
-
@Nicole Mendoza-Oracle - When I try to create the saved search, the option to make the summary type Maximum is greyed out:
-
@Nicole Mendoza-Oracle - I don't understand how a saved search can set the value of the SO Notes field
-
I'm still waiting for a screenshot
-
@Grace Catabian-Oracle - I updated the image above when I realized I didn't include that info
-
@Grace Catabian-Oracle - It just highlights the outline in purple. No code shows:
-
Sorry, I'm still waiting for a screenshot from our user. I will post as soon as I hear back
-
@Grace Catabian-Oracle - This is the Custom PDF layout: As you can see, there is only one large rectangular area called "Columns" where the tables are located.
-
Here you go:
-
@Grace Catabian-Oracle - No, it's that the Location in the FROM FIELD is only available from the Bill.com info (at least I think that's where it's coming from):
-
The FROM FIELD doesn't let me pick Location from the P.O. or Sales Order that is being created or edited, which is what we need:
