I cannot be the only person seeing this, can I?
-
Negative, Cecelia- I am not that courteous ;)
-
welcome to Netsuite- no limits, but not a lot of intuitiveness either... The only way I know to change someones (or even my own) password, is to go in as an administrator, access the employee record, and override and change the password. A pain, perhaps, but simple and quick.

once again, glad I can help. :D

This can happen several ways. The most common one I have seen is from vendor credits that have removed items from inventory that have not been received in via an RMA. Easiest way to tell (for me at least) is to pull up your item, using the main search tab within the item itself, and you will see the entire transaction…

Oh my lord, once again, a PICNIC situation.... I HATE that! JMU- you win the prize, that was the problem- works perfectly NOW, dammit. Just goes to show you, Sometimes it is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt. Chalk it up to a blonde moment...... Thanks, guys! :D

ok, seems I was wrong. I have been able to allow them all acess to the pop up (or quick) lead entry form, but now they can't seem to access the full form needed to actually process a quote with all the needed entity info? Can sales really only use one or the other? I don't see the drop down that would allow them…

Malin, Perhaps you can answer this for me, then, why is it that in the global settings for costing methods, specific is not a choice, if it is so prevalent in your system?
-
ooo- someone after my own heart... If we ever share the same vicinity in this world, I'll buy ;) Count on it!
-
In the roles, have you got the Preferred Pop-up form set to one and the Preferred full form to the other? Assuming that is the case, and your standard form has the enabled checkbox off; I'm as much help to you as submarinal mosquito netting (or however that saying goes)... Chin up. Matthew thanks Matthew- Ill be fine, I…

Cecelia, Not sure if this helps, but I don't think you can pull the audit trail by person, once the person has access removed. The audit trail doesnt go away, however, all of their activities are still there, and can be pulled if you pull by transaction type, or customer/vendor name. The information is still there, you…

allrighty then, Gentlemen. I will pass that along. (sometimes it is nice to know that I am just the messenger) With all of the noises being made that NS is going public, I sure hope that you don't use your own serialized module.;)
-
I am trying to move forward with this, but now, when I try and create new items using LIFO, and the items are serialized, the costing method on the new items is still showing as specific. This is a problem. This means that NS is designed to support TWO costing methods, one globally, and one that applies only to serialized…

yeah- that is pretty much what I came to. However, you left out the part of adjusting them out of inventory, into the new item. Seems the more I look at this, the more I see major issues in the structuring itself of how our items are set up, and how much it will take to fix them. Think I should buy some stock in advil.

This is not OK. If it was consistent, I may go for it, however, as far as I knew, this was working. Now I am finding that sometimes it disallows the so to proceed, and other times it lets them go through, blocking them at fulfillment. I have been researching the issues here, and I know that there is an issue when the…

OK- been tweeking this for a while. This is what I came up with- the only way the drop down appears is if I make the standard form preferred. When either the custom Sales form, or the custom pop up form is preferred, I cannot get the drop down to display, nor can I get . The issue with this is that the standard form is…

works like a dream, thanks!

What I have done to provide credit memos for customers for non-returned items. Created a new service for resale. Named it internally as write off returns, externally, it is just called Returns. I actually created an account for this, so I could show an exact dollar figure on the monthly GP reports, but you may not need to…

I made no changes to the original, imported items, other than to remove all transactions - hence- bringing the on hand amount to zero. I made no changes after that, except on a global level. I had little support from NS, other than for specific questions, directed to a very knowledgeable Ms. Carbray. Seems that I did not…

Actually, Jon, it is more on topic than you realize. If you read my opening posts, you will see that I had thought I did something wrong in the setup and implementation of our items. As was so thoughtfully pointed out 20 days after I brought this up, this is by design. The costing models in NS are not exactly outlined and…

Malin, are you telling me that NS, by design, created and supports two costing methods, in direct conflict with GAAP? This is an enhancement? Come now, can we not expect Netsuite to comply with basic accounting principals? How would you like us to explain this to SOX auditors? should we just give them the number for NS?…

David, Please realize I am by no means, unconcerned. This is a major issue for me. Want to know what my workaround is? Every single order that ships out of our warehouse is now routed to me. every one. every stinking, cotton picking, stupid one. Think I am happy with this? I have to clear the orders for fulfillment. on top…

The fix is in our 2007.0 release. Unfortunately, it requires enough testing that we can't get it into an earlier release. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks, -e I have tested this in my beta account. seems to work, but I don't have extensive time to run through every scenario. I'm putting my faith into you, Evan. Gonna…

First, yes, using specific costing for serialized/lot items was by design and has been in use since version 9.0, when serialized inventory was first released. In that time, with literally hundreds of companies using the feature, there are only 3 requests logged to use avg/LIFO/FIFO costing methods with serialized items.…

once again, JMU, I believe I have ruffled some feathers, so to speak. Great, as this is not what I set out to do this morning. I honestly believe that this is simply an oversight on behalf of the programmers, and the powers that be. I have to believe this, as the alternative is to try and accept that this was, in fact,…

try exporting these to excel......

OK, Malin, all sarcasm aside- I have had a few hours to think about this, even ripped some weeds out while thinking, so I am in a much better and more rational state of mind. So, perhaps I should try a different approach here. Instead of being crass and sarcastic, I should use my brain...yes, I do have one...;) So, in…
-
Matt- are you testing in beta and still seeing this? -angela

Your consent to give them access thru the front door has no real bearing...Keep in mind that they physically hold your database anyway. If they want access to your data for devious purposes. they can get it. Your data is just another file on their servers. Not that they would do it....they have too much to lose...but…
