Create a Custom Field

There are two primary methods to create custom fields in NetSuite QuickStart Edition: 

1. Go to the Ask Oracle menu, then Customization > Fields > Create Field button to initiate the custom field creation process. 

2. Alternatively, you can create custom fields directly within a specific record type.  

For example, open a Sales Order record via the Ask Oracle menu > Sales > Sales Orders > View on any sales order > More Actions > Customize > Customize Fields > Click Create New Field button
 

The two methods outlined above provide a consistent approach to creating custom fields. You'll be guided through a series of steps where you'll input values and make selections to configure your custom field. See detailed steps below:
